TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

Work, family, travel and other stresses getting in the way of your trianing? We understand! Even with elites and pros, every single effort needs to count, needs to move you towards the goals. There is a limited amount of energy and the smart rider has a plan to put it into the areas that make the most difference. Let Coach Seiji help you create a plan, execute the plan, drive you to your goals!

Mission:
Coachseiji.com’s mission is to train smarter and stay balanced through the use of the latest in scientific and athlete-derived knowledge. We want to help you reach your goals by making the best use of your available resources. It’s all about managing your available energy and time in the most efficient manner. No wasted efforts and proper recovery from those efforts to reap the biggest rewards.

Goal Setting:

We measure your current state of fitness and analyze your past training and racing results. We create season results-oriented goals and then systematically create process-oriented goals based on your personal performance and fitness limiters. The season’s results-oriented goals provide long term motivation while the process-oriented goals provide direction in day to day training. When process-oriented goals are met, results-oriented season goals are automatically clinched!

Annual Training Plan:
An annual training plan is created and designed to allow performance increases through planned cycles of work and rest. All abilities and facets of fitness are consistently improved and are designed to peak for your most important events.

Web-Based Training and Athlete Management Tool:

All this is managed and delivered through a state of the art web-based management tool that delivers your training program and allows for daily personal contact and feedback. All your training data, physiological markers, subjective feelings, and personal comments are stored and monitored by your personal motorsports coach.

Other Training Components:
Mental skills development and dietary analysis are also included in some coaching packages. Periodic phone conferences ensure that you and your coach are closely linked and on the same page at all times.

Periodization is the key!

Periodization is a training methodology that has been in practice and proven in almost all other individual competitive sports. Powerlifting, triathlon, and cycling are examples of sports where periodization revolutionized training and produced dramatic results. Periodization simplified looks like this:

The athlete should do the least amount of the most specific training that brings continual improvement.

Coach Seiji will provide the analysis, research, and planning that will allow you to execute the above statement. You will train smarter, not harder!
